Report No. 42 151. Amendment of section 367.- In section 367 of the Code, for the words "imprisonment of either description", the words "rigorous imprisonment" shall be substituted. 152. Substitution of new sections for sections 368 and 369.- For sections 368 and 369 of the Code, the following sections shall be substituted, namely.- "368. Wrongfully concealing or keeping in confinement, kidnapped or abducted person.- Whoever, knowing that any person has been kidnapped or abducted, wrongfully conceals or confines such person shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, and shall also be liable to fine. 369. Kidnapping or abducting child under ten years with intent to steal from the person.- Whoever kidnaps or abducts any child under the age of ten years with the intention of taking dishonestly any movable property from the person of such child, shall be punished with rigorous imprisonment for a term which may extend to seven years, but which shall not be less than two years, and shall also be liable to fine." 153. Amendment of section 370.- In section 370 of the Code, for the words imprisonment of either description" the words "rigorous imprisonment" shall be substituted. 154. Omission of section 371.- Section 371 of the Code shall be omitted. 155. Amendment of section 372.- In section 372 of the Code, for the words "imprisonment of either description", the words "rigorous imprisonment" shall be substituted. 156. Amendment of section 373.- To section 373 of the Code, the following Explanation shall be added, namely.- "Explanation III.-For the purposes of this section, it is not necessary that the possession of the minor should have been obtained from a third person."    |
