24. Registrar.- (1) The Registrar of the University shall be appointed in such manner and on such terms and conditions as may be laid down in the Statutes. (2) The Registrar shall be the custodian of records, common seal, funds of the University and such other property of the University as the Governing Body shall commit to his charge. (3) The Registrar shall act as the Secretary of the Governing Body, the Executive Council, the Academic Council and such other committees as may be laid down in the Statutes. (4) The Registrar shall be responsible to the Vice-Chancellor for the proper discharge of his functions. Â (5) The Registrar shall exercise such other powers and perform such other duties as may be assigned to him by this Act or the Statutes or by the Vice-Chancellor.    |
