32. Documents to be retained by registrar.-

On the registry of a ship, the registrar shall retain in his custody the following documents :-

(a) the surveyor's certificate;

(b) the builder's certificate;

(c) any instrument of sale by which the ship was previously sold;

(d) all declarations of ownership.
