20. Jurisdiction of village courts in criminal cases.- Notwithstanding anything contained in the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1898 (5 of 1898), the village court shall have jurisdiction concurrent with that of the criminal court within the local limits of whose jurisdiction the village is situated for the trial of all offences specified in the Schedule.    |
