37. Qualification for registration as a dental hygienist.- A person shall be entitled on payment of the prescribed fee to have his name registered on the register of dental hygienists, if he resides in the 2[State] and holds a recognised dental hygiene qualification: Provided that for the purposes of the first register of dental hygienists, a person shall be entitled to be registered, if he has been engaged as a dental hygienist as his principal means of livelihood for a period of not less than two years prior to the date of notification under sub-section (1) of section 36.    |
