Commission of Sati (Prevention) Act, 1987 5. Punishment for glorification of sati Whoever does any act for the glorification of sati shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which shall not be less than one year but which may extend to seven years and with fine which shall not be less than five thousand rupees but which may extend to thirty thousand rupees.    |
