6. Settlement officers.- The officers specified in items (b), (d) and (e) of section 4 shall have power to take cognizance of all matters connected with the survey of land and the settlement of the revenue-rates and the preparation and maintenance of land records and other registers and shall exercise all such powers and perform all such duties as may be prescribed by or under this Act or by any general or special order of the Administrator published in the Official Gazette.    |
