25. Other penalties. Whoever contravenes or attempts to contravene or abets the contravention of the provisions of this Act 1[or of any rules or regulations made thereunder] other than the provisions, punishment for the contravention whereof has been provided for in section 20 or section 23 or section 24, shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may 2[extend to two years, or with fine which may extend to five thousand rupees, or with both] and in the case of a continuing contravention with an additional fine which may extend to fifty rupees for every day during which such contravention continues after conviction for the first such contravention.    |
