Delimitation of Constituencies 40. Allocation of seats in the House of the People and assignment of seats to State Legislative Assemblies.- The number of seats in the House of the People allotted to each of the States and the number of seats assigned to the Legislative Assembly of each Part A State and of each Part B State other than Jammu and Kashmir by order of the Delimitation Commission under the Delimitation Commission Act, 1952 (81 of 1952) (hereinafter in this Part referred to as "the former Commission" and "the former Act", respectively) shall be modified as shown in the Third Schedule.    |
