Railways Act, 1989 148. Penalty for making a false statement in an application for compensation. If in any application for compensation under section 125, any person makes statement which is false or which he knows or believes to be false or does not believe to be true, he shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend to three years, or with fine, or with both.    |
