Prasar Bharati (Broadcasting Corporation of India) Act, 1990

17.Grants, etc., by the Central Government

For the purposes of enabling the Corporation to discharge its functions effectively under this Act, the Central Government may, after due appropriation made by Parliament by law this behalf, pay to the Corporation in each financial year,-

a) the proceeds of the broadcast receiver license fees, if any, as reduced by the collection charges; and

b) such other sums of money as that Government considers necessary, by way of equity, grand-in-aid or loan.
