26. Compulsory acquisition of land for the Authority. Any land required by the Authority for discharging its functions under this Act shall be deemed to be needed for a public purpose and such land 1.Ins. by Act 40 of 2001, s. 6 (w.e.f. 1-7-2003). may be acquired for the Authority under the provisions of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 (1 of 1894) or of any other corresponding law for the time being in force.    |
