The Chancellor:
1. (1) The Chancellor shall be appointed by the Visitor from a panel of not less than three persons recommended by the Board from amongst persons of eminence in education in general and agricultural sciences in particular: Provided that if the Visitor does not approve any of the persons so recommended, he may call for fresh recommendations from the Board.
(2) The Chancellor shall hold office for a term of five years and shall not be eligible for reappointment: Provided that notwithstanding the expiry of his term of office, the Chancellor shall continue to hold office until his successor enters upon his office.
