50. Magistrate's power to impose enhanced penalties. Notwithstanding anything contained in5[section 29 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973 (2 of 1974), it shall be lawful for any court of a Metropolitan Magistrate] to pass any sentence authorised by this Act in excess of its powers under the said section.    |
