63G. Identification of voters

(1) The polling officer may employ at the polling booth such persons as he thinks fit to assist him in identifying the voters or for any other purpose.

(2) At any time before a ballot paper is delivered to a voter, the polling officer may of his own accord, if he has reason to doubt the identity of the voter or his right to vote at the polling booth, and shall, if so required by a candidate or his authorized representatives, put to the voter such questions as he may deemed necessary with a view to establishing the identity of that voter.

(3) Every voter shall be required to sign the marked copy of a signature form provided by the Secretary.

(4) If the polling officer is not satisfied as to the identity of the person claiming to be a voter, he may refuse to allow such person to vote in the election.
