A voter in giving his vote- (a) must place on his ballot paper the figure l in the square opposite the number of the candidate for whom he votes, and (b) may in addition, place on his ballot paper the figure 2 or the figure 2 and 3 or 2,3, and 4 and so on, in the squares opposite the names of other candidates in the order of his preference.    |
