Co-Operative Societies Act 2008 68. Removal of members of Supervisory Committee 1. The members may, by resolution passed by two-thirds of the votes cast at a general meeting duly called for that purpose, remove a member of the Supervisory Committee before the expiration of his term of office, and shall by vote cast at the meeting elect another member in his stead for the unexpired portion of his term. 2. The notice calling the meeting of members referred to in subsection (1) shall state that the purpose of the meeting is to remove the member of the Supervisory Committee who is named in the notice. 3. The member of the Supervisory Committee removed under this section has the right to make such representations to the members regarding the resolution for his removal as he thinks fit, and may be represented by an attorney-at-law or an agent.    |
