Co-Operative Societies Act 2008 55. Tenure of committees generally 1. Committees appointed pursuant to section 54 shall hold office for a period not exceeding one year. 2. A member of a committee appointed pursuant to section 54(2) may be removed by resolution of the society or of the Board, as the case may be. 3. The removal of a member of a committee who is a director shall not affect his office as a director. 4. A committee shall— a. fix its quorum at not less than a majority of its members; b. keep minutes of its proceedings; c. submit to the Board at each meeting of the Board or to the annual general meeting of the society, as the case may be, the minutes of the committee’s proceedings since the most recent meeting of the Board or of the society.    |
