Company Secretaries Act, 1980 1. Short Title, Extent and Commencement (1) This Act may be called the Company Secretaries Act, 1980. (2) It extends to the whole of India . (3) It shall come into force on such date as the Central Government may, by notification in the Official Gazette, appoint. (The Central Government has appointed 1st day of January, 1981, as the date on which the said Act shall come into force vide its Notification No. S. O. 989(E) and published in Part II, Section 3, Sub-section (ii) of the Gazette of India Extraordinary dated 27th December, 1980 .)    |
