The Central Vigilance Commission Act, 2003

21. Power to make regulations.-

1.   The Commission may, with the previous approval of the Central Government, by notification in the Official Gazette, make regulations not inconsistent with this Act and the rules made there under to provide for all matters for which provision is expedient for the purposes of giving effect to the provisions of this Act.

2.   In particular, and without prejudice to the generality of the foregoing power, such regulations may provide for all or any of the following matters, namely:-

a.   the duties and the powers of the Secretary under sub-section (4) of section 3; and

b.   the procedure to be followed by the Commission under sub-section (2) of section 9.
