88. Superior military authority.- For the purpose of sections 86 and 87, a "superior military authority " means- (a) in the case of punishments awarded by a commanding officer, any officer superior in command to such commanding officer; (b) in the case of punishments awarded by any other authority, the Central Government, 1[the Chief of the Army Staff] or other officer specified by 1[the Chief of the Army Staff].    |
